I’ve been along Glen Etive only twice. First time during winter 2019, when I fortunately managed to catch a brilliant sunset, whilst on my way to Loch Etive. The second time when I climbed Ben Starav (the distant mountain in the picture). On both occasions. I captured some stunning shots!! Just before Glen Coe, there’s a small Glen Etive road sign that points towards a single-track road. I’m usually intrigued when I see signs stating glens I’m unfamiliar with. After passing the road sign a few times, I only knew the name but absolutely nothing else. I did eventually do a little online research into the glen and it turns out to be one of the most magnificent and famous glens in Scotland!!! So, one day I decided to check the glen out to see if there were any photo opportunities and to discover another part of Scotland. What a day I got for it!!! It really is the most beautiful glen!!!

Meall a’ Bhuiridh – Black Mount

Meall a’ Bhùiridh is a mountain on the edge of Rannoch Moor. The 3,635ft peak, highest of the Black Mount range, appears rather undistinguished from the A82. However, the west side of the mountain is elegantly presented in its pyramidal form when viewing from Creise.
