Photo taken on 31th December, 2019 (New Years Eve). Which was on the last day of the 10s decade. While descending Dumgoyne, I couldn’t believe seeing a waxing crescent moon in the sky, directly above this cute and lonesome tree!!

Dumgoyne Hill silhouette

Dumgoyne is a hill prominent on the edge of the Campsie Fells and is a well-known landmark visible from Glasgow. It is a volcanic plug and is 1,401 ft high. The plug is reached from a path beside Glengoyne Distillery or via a track from the village of Blanefield 3 miles to the east or Killearn to the west.
